This si, frankly, a wonderful product. It's well conceived and well executed. Quality: The laser cutting is accurate and I had no issues pressing out pieces or fitting them together. The connectors are ingenious and you really don't need any glue. The resulting trays are nive and stable. There is a smell of burnt HDF but I didn't find it off-putting. The colouring from the process actually enhances the look of the trays for me. Assembly: First a piece of advice. Don't press out any of the pieces immediately. Go through the instructions, building each tray from the bottom of the diagram upwards. Press out each piuece as you need it from the indicated sheet of parts. After that, it just snaps together and, in the event you do end up with a piece the wrong way round, you can aesily disassemble the tray and pop it back in. Everything fits and nothing needs to be forced. If it won't go in, you have the wrong piece or it's the wrong way up. I had some minor fraying on one piece where I didn't take enough care pressing it out but there is so much interlock that the tray is not affected at all. Putting it in the box: Fits exactly as it says. If you have Forgotten Circles and keep the manuals in that box, the lid closes with all parts from the game and expansion in the Gloomhaven box. If you're happy that the lid doesn't close fully, you can put it all in the Gloomhave box and reclaim some shelf space by disposing of the FC box. (I kept the manuals and stickers in the FC box so still have two boxes.) In use: It's just glorious to have everything in a logical place. Set up and play is so much easier now you know where everything is. A little more care when putting it away rewards you at the next session. This is a great quality of life improvement which takes a lot of the friction out of playing the game. To summatrise: I'm a fan. If you can afford it, buy it.

I'm very happy with this product. Everything fits fine (without glue) but the place where you put the monsters deck it's a little bit annoying to assemble.

It was the first insert that I bought and it definitely won't be the last one. Incredibly easy to assemble once you look closely at the manual ( I didn't and had to change a few things) and it took me about 45 minutes to do so. Every piece fits in nicely so you don't have to force it in and it looks gorgeous. Just ups the experience of playing Gloomhaven. I still havenlt opened my expansion but there is already place for it in the insert which is great. It might bother someone that the box doesn't close, but you can see it in the photo. That's the price of having one box instead of two. And it speeds up the set-up and cleaning of the game which amounts to like 30 minutes. WOW, just WOW. All in all, if you have Gloomhaven this is an insert you must-have.

Here we are two years after my purchase of this insert. It's still in very good condition and has done a great job of protecting the game components. We have played a lot of Gloomhaven and this insert has saved us uncountable hours of set up and pack away time. One of the best add on purchases I ever made. On the back of this, we also bought the Jaws of the Lion insert and it has been just as good. Recommended.
